  • Talmont Castle
    Talmont St Hilaire
    This castle will plunge you back into mediaeval society. It is classed as a fortress from the 11th century and was owned by Richard the Lion Heart.
    Summer activities (horse dressage, battles, heraldry, chivalry, falconry), guided visits and evening shows.
    Opening hours : in low season from 10.30 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. and from 2.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m.
    From 07 July – 31 August from 10.30 a.m. to 7.00 p.m.
    Tariffs : Castle fort visit – adults 5 € / children (5 à 12 years) 2.50 €
    Mediaeval shows : adults 8 €/ children (5 à 12 years) 4 €

  • Adventurers Castle – Attractions Park
    Guignardière Castle is one of the major Renaissance buildings in the lower Poitou. The site houses several adventure parks aimed at children…
    => The “Riddles” course in which pirates lead you through an adventure of 20 riddles in search of a magic locket.
    => Dinosaurs and prehistory: an interactive game with dinosaurs complete with sound effects, a replica Neolithic dwelling as well as the only excavated and restored alignment of standing stones in the Vendee! It’s a real journey back in time! Come and meet some of the fabulous creatures that ruled the earth for more than 100 million years. Then leap forward in time to meet the first men, their habitat and the real standing stone alignments of Fourgon Wood. And earn your reward!
    => Budding Explorer! Take your children (3-7 years) across the different continents. Under your watchful gaze, follow your little explorer as they concentrate on each challenge of experimentation, memory, imagination…and bring back their trophy !

  • Le Haras de la Vendée (Vendee Stud Farm)
    La Roche s/Yon
    In the heart of La Roche sur Yon is a 4.5 hectare park for you to share your passion for horses and to introduce you to the culture with equestrian shows, the school of horses from around the world and the expertise of the saddlers and the marshals of the National Stud.
    The stud farm opens its doors again every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from 30 April to 30 June from 2.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. with shows, equestrian demonstrations and guided visits.
    And from 01/07 to 31/08, it opens everyday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
    Tariffs : 5 €, free for under 18s.
